چکیده

We present a quantum mechanical model for four-wave mixing Josephson traveling-wave parametric amplifier including substrate losses and associated thermal fluctuations. Under the assumption of strong undepleted classical pump tone, we derive an analytic solution bosonic annihilation operator weak signal photon field using temporal equations motion in reference timeframe, chromatic dispersion. From this result, can predict asymmetric gain spectrum due to non-zero losses. also equivalent added input noise fluctuations as well contributions. Our results are excellent agreement with recently published experimental data.

A near-quantum-limited Josephson traveling-wave parametric amplifier.

Detecting single-photon level signals—carriers of both classical and quantum information—is particularly challenging for low-energy microwave frequency excitations. Here we introduce a superconducting amplifier based on a Josephson junction transmission line. Unlike current standing-wave parametric amplifiers, this traveling wave architecture robustly achieves high gain over a bandwidth of seve...

Quantum wideband traveling-wave analysis of a degenerate parametric amplifier

We develop a wideband traveling-wave formalism for analyzing quantum mechanically a degenerate parametric amplifier. The formalism is based on spatial differential equations-spatial Langevin equations-that propagate temporal Fourier components of the field operators through the nonlinear medium. In addition to the parametric nonlinearity, the Langevin equations include absorption and associated...

Computer Simulation of Intermodulation Distortion in Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers

The intermodulation performance of a helix TWT was computed using a large-signal disc model with two, three and eight correlated carriers and also using the program IMAL which models a generalized nonlinearity described by its single carrier transfer characteristics. The results obtained by both methods showed good agreement. The inter-modulation performance of a TWT for both correlated and unc...
